Analysis of Heat Transfer in Dense Suspensions by Particle Resolved Numerical Simulations

Abstract : The simulation particulate flows with resolved scale particles is considered. In particular, the heat exchange between particles and surrounding fluid is investigated in terms of Nusselt number, particle density, solid fraction, Reynolds number, ... The numerical simulations are validated against reference analytical solutions of the literature.
