Identification des propriétés d’élasticité d’un polymère obtenu par fabrication additive SLS à partir d’une modélisation du volume élémentaire représentatif

Abstract : This paper deals with identification of linear elasticity properties of a PA12 polymer obtained by SLS process using FE modelling of a representative elementary volume (RVE). The analyzed PA12 polymer contains fire retardant additives as inclusions and porositiesinduced by the SLS process. A REV is constructed from micro-tomography images of the microstructure and meshing procedure to obtain the FE mesh. Using uniaxial tension and pure shear loadings in different directions of the REV, the main elasticity properties (Young modulus, Poisson ratio and shear modulus) are identified. It is shown the elasticity properties are direction-dependent(anisotropy). The Young modulus and Poisson ratio are close to that of the isotropic properties of the matrix, since the volume fraction of inclusions and voids are much lower against the matrix one. However the shear modulus in different directions is found lower than the matrix one by about 30%.
